Randy Kay George, aged 66, departed this earthly world on August 19, 2026.
Born on August 16, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leo A. George and Barbara L. Spence, he grew up in Magna, Utah.
He entered the construction business before he was 18 and never looked back. He worked for West Jordan City for many years and later started his own business, RG’s Excavating. He was a master at operating the backhoe and won first place at the Backhoe Rodeo. He loved the outdoors, camping, bow hunting, fishing, boating, and four-wheeling. He passed this love on to his children. Randy also had a soft heart for animals, especially dogs and cats. He was charming and charismatic. He had a distinctive yet infectious laugh that could be heard for miles. He always had lots of friends.
Randy is survived by his father, Leo (Phyllis); daughter, Brandy (Carlos); sons, Jason (Jennifer) and Jeremy; brother, Dean; sister, Rebecca (Rodger); grandchildren, Gage (Alyssa), Kylah, Brylee, Paislynn, Ember, Trysten, and Verrick; ex-wife and friend, Susan (Robert); his angel dog, Lilly; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peewee, and his mother, Barbara.
A remembrance gathering will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Magna Park, East Pavilion, located at 8975 W. 2600 S., Magna, Utah.
