Our beloved Mom, Grandmother, and friend to many passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on November 3, 2026. Nada Rae was born on November 23, 1937, in Tooele, Utah, to G. Marvin Johnson and Nada Rae Price. She was the oldest of three children.
Nada Rae worked hard her whole life. She raised four beautiful children. She was a beloved lunch lady for 26 years in the Tooele County School District and would later retire from there. In her later years, she met the love of her life, Don Woolley. They loved to travel and went on many wonderful trips. But their favorite retreat was their home away from home in beautiful Tabiona. That was their paradise.
She was a woman of many names. Rae, Mom, Grandma, and some of the grandkids called her Grandma Teena after her little white poodle. She loved her dogs, and they were spoiled and treated like humans. Her dog Parker got a rotisserie chicken every week. Parker was the best and most loyal dog. He never left her side.
Mom took pride in her yard. She could stay out there all day long, working and playing in her dirt. She was lucky to have amazing neighbors (the Browns) to make sure she made it into the house every night. She also loved rocks! She never turned down a ride where she could go find a few more. She always had “the perfect spot” for each rock.
She is survived by her children, Kevin (Mindy) Harris, Bryan (Barbara) Harris, Darin (Teresa) Harris, and Leanna (Joey) Espinoza; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Nada Rae was preceded in death by her father, G. Marvin Johnson; her mother, Nada Rae Price; her sisters, Ilene Wierz and Carma Lee Nohr; as well as many cousins and her sweetheart, Don Woolley.
We were blessed to have her for so long and are happy to know that you are with loved ones gone before. We love you and will miss you!
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 81 N. Church Street, Grantsville, UT. A viewing will be held one hour prior, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Grantsville City Cemetery.
