Georganne Bumcrot

Georganne “Jan” Bumcrot passed away on September 5, 2026, surrounded by her family who loved her
dearly. She was born on August 5, 1948, in Inglewood, California, to George and Etta (Bishop) Moorhous.
On August 30, 1968, Jan married the love of her life, Richard Bumcrot, and together they built a beautiful
life filled with laughter, hard work, and unwavering partnership. They had just celebrated their 58th
wedding anniversary.
Jan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was sealed to Rick for time and
all eternity on April 14, 2012, in the Mesa, Arizona temple.
Jan had many professions, including entrepreneur, bookkeeper, and a CNA. She enjoyed many crafts,
including sewing, quilt making, scrapbooking, and crochet. Jan also loved animals and kept many
throughout her life, including many farm animals and dogs.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, brother John, and sister Cyndi Presho. She leaves behind her
loving husband Rick, son Rick Jr. (Nikki), daughters Amee and Liz (Travis), nine cherished grandchildren,
and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Jan’s life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at
Didericksen Memorial in Grantsville. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Primary Children’s Hospital
in her name.
