Stephen Cherry

Stephen Earl Cherry, of Tooele County, passed away on May 19, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer.  Stephen was born in Tooele, Utah on October 18, 1958, to Glen and Mildred Irene Cherry.  Stephen will be missed for his wonderful sense of humor, contagious smile, his easy-going manner, and most of all his selfless attitude.  He loved watching football and never missed a Green Bay Packers game, Go Pack Go!!  He enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, Yahtzee, and playing cards with his children.

The light of Stephen’s life was his wife Christine Cherry, and their five children. Stephen was a beloved and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.  Stephen also loved to spend time with his sisters Penny Herzog, Diane Cherry, Laura Cherry, and many nieces and nephews.  He is survived by his children:  James Romero, Anna Romero, Jason “Osker” Cherry (Cassandra), Stephanie Cherry, and Angela Palmer (Jordan), grandchildren: Isabella Cherry, Medelyn Palmer, sister:  Penny Herzog, and many nieces and nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Christine Cherry, and his sisters Diane Cherry and Laura Cherry.

Services for Stephen will be held on Saturday, June 2, at the LDS church on 1000 North in Tooele, Utah.  A celebration of Stephen’s life will take place from 2:00 - 3:00 PM followed by lunch.
