Rey Estrada Flores passed away on December 15, 2020 due to complications of renal failure. He is the son of Vicente Ruiz Flores and Olive’ Estrada Flores. Rey was born on May 29, 1937 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to the states and lived in Mesa, Arizona with his parents until their death.

Rey loved music, dancing, good food, Skippy peanut butter, cookies and shopping. He was an avid gardener and raised beautiful roses in his yard. Rey was a hard worker and loved to help people. He loved being with family and friends and was always up for an outing of any type. He was a gentle spirit; anyone who met him, instantly loved him. He was a valiant son who took care of his mother for twenty-nine years after his father passed away.

Rey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and dearly loved his ward family.

Rey moved to Grantsville, Utah to be with his family. He is survived by his nephews:  Terry (Jan) Baird, Vincent Baird, Robin (Deceased) (Annette Baird Sandberg) Baird, Todd (Leslie) Baird; nieces: Kenna (Ted) Aagard, Kathy Jo (Chris) Caldwell. Sue Cottle was his Arizona caretaker and friend for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Olive, Bengala “Bennie” (Marv) Baird, brothers: Vincent, Lemuel and Arturo Flores.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 21, 2020 at Meldrum Mortuary and Crematorium 52 North McDonald, Mesa, Arizona. Viewing will be held at 11:30 a.m., services beginning at 12:30 p.m. and burial at 1:30 p.m. Mesa City Cemetery.
