Peggy Chryst Dean

Peggy Chryst Dean, passed away in her home on November 23, 2023 at the age of 73.

Peggy was known for her love of reading and deep interest in the details of her loved ones lives. To know her was to love her. Peggy’s booming voice and laugh that could fill a room were characteristic of her larger than life personality and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

As a young woman, Peggy loved riding horses and had a passion for barrel racing. She spoke fondly of these memories in later years. Peggy was a skilled chef with a great love for cooking and the story is that she made a mean rum cake! Many of her recipes will remain in use for years to come. Among her other loves in life were music (emphasis on the term “oldie but goodie”), movies, shopping, good conversations, excessive organization, and chocolate!

Peggy’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence, and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she spent on this earth.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Juniel Chryst, and brother, Scott Chryst.

Peggy is survived by her children, Cameron Dean & Shantell (Matt) Cleverly, her grandchildren, Sydnie & Austin Cleverly, her sisters, Dianne (Pat) Ormond, Karen (Mark) Stabler, Lynett (Ben) Walker, Darl Chryst (Mike Watkiss), her brother Dell (Cheri) Chryst, all things purple, and her collection of sparkly things!

• Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the LDS Meetinghouse located at 4588 North Eagle Mountain Boulevard, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005. 

• Viewing - 10am

• Funeral - 11am

• Luncheon - 12pm
