Kevin LaMar Hackford passed away March 13, 2013, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Kevin loved camping, fishing, the outdoors, and woodwork. His biggest treasure, though, was his 11-year old son, Trevor. He loved to do everything with his little buddy, even if it was just passing around a ball. Trevor was his life. He gave Kevin so much joy. Kevin had a huge heart. He was a great son, dad, brother, and friend. He brought laughter to anyone who knew him and loved him. He will be forever missed by us all. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leneta and Bill Walk; father and stepmother, Dave and Shannon Hackford; sons, Trevor Hackford and Michael Richmond; long time companion, Shelly Vario, mother of Trevor; brothers, Arnie Walk, Mitch (Diana) Walk; Tracy (Mary) Walk; Justin (Marci) Benson; sisters, Melody (Glade) Rupp, Karen (Hackford) Walter; Carlinda (Lynn) Truman; Debra (Keith) Davis, Margaret (Herv’e) Omara; four grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Don Morgan; two nephews, Jamie and Donny Golder; three uncles, Mark, Robert, and Clay Nielsen; Grandparents, Mark and Amy Nielsen, and Melivn and Fontella Hackford. We want to thank Harmony Hospice, especially Barbara and Guy. They made an unbearable situation, bearable for Kevin and our family. They have the biggest hearts we could ever ask for and the most compassion we could ever imagine. Thanks Barbara and Guy. We will miss you Kevin, more than you could imagine but we are also so thankful that you are now at peace and there will be no more pain. Rest in Peace, Kevin. We love you. Kevin’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date. Services entrusted with Didericksen Memorial, 435-277-0050.
