Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away from a current illness, peacefully surrounded by his sweetheart and family on February 17, 2025. Kelly was born on August 24, 1961, in Tooele, Utah to Claude Don and Norma Browne Castagno of Grantsville, Utah. Kelly attended Grantsville High School where he met his sweetheart Jodie Lynn Shields. They were married on September 27, 1980 and have 5 children. Kelly and Jodie have been inseparable for 47 years.
Kelly was a hard worker. He worked for SME Steel as the Parts Department Manager and CNC Machine programmer for 37 years. Kelly was a Green Bay Packers super fan he cheered and watched his team whenever they played. He enjoyed riding his Honda Valkyrie with his sweetheart Jodie. The two of them enjoyed spending that time together exploring the countryside.
He loved his children and grandchildren they spent time boating and camping together. These were some of the highlights of his life. His grandchildren have fond memories of being with grandpa.
Kelly is survived by his wife Jodie Lynne; his children Curtis Cook; Derrick (July) Castagno; Rachelle (Cody) Goff; Nick (Jessica) Castagno; Janessa (Sam) Ashcraft. He is also survived by his sister's Karen and Kristine. He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Norma Castagno; and his daughter Trina Cook. He has 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and medical staff and IMC for their help, comfort and support during these last few days.
Funeral services will be provided by Didericksen Memorial, 87 West Main Street, Grantsville, Utah 84029, on Monday, February 24, 2025. A viewing will be held starting at 11:00 am with the funeral services following at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Grantsville Cemetery.
Kelly leaves behind a legacy of loving family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
