Keith Hanney Evans passed away August 2, 2014 peacefully at his home in Skull Valley. He was born in Randolph Utah February 9, 1931 to Edward Lyman Evans and Thelma Hanney Evans. Keith attended school in Evanston Wyoming, loved sports of all kinds, has many talents, can fix or repair most anything, his saying was "if someone else can fix it, I can also." He married Rita Vera Barker February 19, 1951, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple February 19, 1969. He started working at 13 years old on his Uncle Ralph Hanney's ranch in Randolph, finally bought his own ranch in Skull Valley. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Telegraph Operator and in the following underground mines: Butte Montana, Randolph Utah, Aragonite Utah, also N.L. Industries. His real love was his wife, his family and the the ranch. He loved his 9 grandchildren. Was overjoyed with 27 great grandchildren with two more on the way. Had a great sense of humor. Was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he held many callings, with his favorite being a primary teacher with Mom. He is survived by his wife, Rita of 63 years and three sons Eugene (Diane), Neil (Debbie), Clarence (Patsy). His brothers and sisters Raymond (Denise), Carol Turner, Marvin (Madelyn), Colleen Carter. He is proceeded in death by his parents. Viewing on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Didericksen Memorial (87 W Main, Grantsville) from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Grantsville Stake Center (550 E Durfee, Grantsville) with a viewing at 10:00 am, the funeral starts at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Grantsville Cemetery. Special thanks to Hospice Care, especially Barbara Herrera and Ellen Rojof.
