Our beloved Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend left this mortal existence on Tuesday, Oct 6th, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.
Karen is dancing with the angels, and is now in the loving arms of her sweetheart and in the company of her parents and brothers. They've long awaited her return!
Her beautiful spirit will be missed immensely by all those who knew and loved her. She had many talents, including cooking and wreath making. Anyone who benefited from one of her many beautiful wreaths will surely treasure them forever. We will never forget her generosity and kindness. She never met a stranger! She would rather give you her last dime than let you go without, even though she didn't have much herself. She helped many a friend and family member in their time of need, both financially and emotionally. She loved family gatherings and people in general. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and all her family and friends!
Karen was born to Ova and Naomi (Bowden) Bennett on Feb 2, 1951, in Brigham City Utah. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She attended schools in Brigham City, and graduated from Box Elder High School. Karen married Kerry Grant Steed on September 25th 1969. He passed away on October 14th, 2015. Her employment included many years at Dugway Proving Grounds, where she retired from.
