Jami Allen

Jami Lyne Brown Allen, beloved eternal companion, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, passed peacefully away September 27, 2015 surrounded by her family. We miss her dearly. She was born October 18,1975 in Tacoma, WA. The second child, first daughter of Mont & Sally Marrott Brown. She grew up in Sandy, UT attending schools including Alta High School, where she made many devoted lifelong friends. One of her best gifts was the ability to reach out with an encouraging hand whether it was with writing heartfelt notes or remembering birthdays. She made friends wherever she went and was greatly loved by many.

She earned degrees in business from Dixie State and SUU. Jami was a talented artist. Jami had a great thirst for learning and always had a new interesting item to share with family friends about nutrition, politics or religion. She was blessed with the gift to reach out to youth and children; she was a master teacher. While living in Butte, MT, she taught early morning seminary. She was a hit with the youth and her class was always full. She taught home school for several years; her children had many fun learning experiences.

She enjoyed her nieces and nephews; she always had something fun to do or a new joke to share with them. She was known for her laughter and witty comments. No one was spared!

While attending an LDS fireside, she met her eternal companion Blake William Allen. They were married in the SL Temple October 6, 1999. From that loving union, they were blessed with four sweet children; Megan, Thomas, Mary and John.

Jami enjoyed times with the family outdoors. Being a great nutritionist and cook, she could whip up “the mother of all green smoothies” in a flash. Her children have fond memories of the bread she made for them.

Jami has a strong, abiding testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Her scriptures are well worn with many readings and underlined passages. She served cheerfully and diligently in many church callings.

Jami is survived by her loving husband, sweetest children, mother, brothers & sisters, adoring nieces and nephews: Joel Brown, Seth (Amy) Brown, Kelli (Nate) Lunt, Beth (Chad) Nelson. Loving in laws: Bill and Sharon Allen, Deniece (Craig) Reaveley, Natalie (Darin) Brush, Aimee Allen, Brooke (Brian) Smith. She is preceded in death by her awesome Dad, Mont Brown, grandparents, Keith and Elba Brown; Vern and Virginia Marrott.
