Gracia Harris

1937 - 2015
Gracia Peterson Harris passed away peacefully at home on July 2nd with her family by her side. Gracia was born November 19, 1937 to Archie and Lourraine Peterson. She grew up in Grantsville with her sister, Karen. She was married to Ronald Harris in the Salt Lake Temple on August 17, 1956. She was an active member of the LDS church. Mom and Dad started their life in Grantsville, later moved to Tooele, then spent the last 38 years of their life in Vernon, Utah. My mom loved to sew. She loved her involvement in her church assignments. She had a great love for her family and friends. My mother is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Kevin Harris; and daughters, Shelli Harris and Jaelynn Harris. She is survived by her daughter, JaNae Young (Richard); sister, Karen Johnson; four grandchildren, Tandy Day (Travis), Brian Young (Cami), Shawn Young (Samantha) and Lindey Young. Also, surveved by 8 great grandchildren. What a reunion in heaven my mom is having. I love you, Mom! Funeral services will be held at the Vernon LDS Chapel on Wednesday, July 8th, at 12 p.m. with viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow at 3:30 pm at the Grantsville City Cemetery.
