Our Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle, Wayne Durfee, passed away peacefully after a short but aggressive battle with cancer. Wayne was born in Tooele, Utah to Frank and Norelle Durfee. Wayne grew up in Grantsville and spent his life camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time in the mountains with friends and family. He had an extensive knowledge and passion for guns. Wayne dedicated 42 years to his career as a reactor foreman at MagCorp. After retiring, he devoted his time to his family, especially his grandkids. Wayne loved sports and loved watching his grandkids play.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Norell, his sister, Jillyn, Daddy’s Little Girl Cassidy, and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his siblings Toni (Billy), Annette (Craig), and Ken (Eduardo). His sons, Craig (Bobbi), and Chris. His grandchildren Riley (Emily), Dalton, Ryan, Quinnlee, Jaden, Nevaeh and step grandkids. His great granddaughters Brielle and Azaria.
A viewing will be held on Thursday June 8, 2023, from 10 – 11 am at Didericksen Memorial on 87 West Main Street, Grantsville, UT 84029. Graveside service at Grantsville City Cemetery will follow the viewing.
