Mama passed through this world Sunday, April 21, surrounded by her loving family. Steffie was born Oct 2, 1938 in Eureka, UT to Gelasia and Refugio Saldivar. She grew up in the beautiful Bingham Canyon Community. Mama leaves strength, passion, compassion and mostly the ability to “love like crazy” to her eight children. She taught us to laugh, dance, and mostly how to sing our way through this life. She taught us how to care for and love babies. Mama has found her voice again and is singing sweet lullabies with her son, Michael. Listen carefully and you will hear them. Preceded in death by her parents Gelasia, Refugio and Jean; 3 brothers; 1 sister; Son, Michael; grandson, Chase; and many other beloved family members. Survived by husband, Robert; children, Tony (Lora), Julie, Steven (Nancy), Robert (Stacy), Valerie, Tonya (Richard), Trista (Bryan), and Lisa (Michael); 32 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings, Refugio (Juanita), Louie (LeeAnn), Christina (Ferdinand), Carmen (Ralph), Lupe (Robbin), Theresa (Len), Beth (Ernie), Rey (Leora), Tony (Sandy), and Jerry. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 26 at the Lady of Lourdes Church, 2864 S 9000 W, Magna, UT.
