Elvis Jones

1940 - 2016
Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and uncle returned back to our Heavenly Father on May 14th, 2016. Born on May 22nd, 1940 to Arthur J Jones and Donna A Anderson Jones. He married his soul mate, Alice Catherine Mounteer (Kathy) on March 19th , 1959. Their journey started leading to raise 4 children; Tawna Keyes (Don), Gina Thayne (Dennis), Mika Jones (RoseAnn), Matthew Jones (Paula) and 1 grandchild that they raised as their own, Misty Stout (Marty). Gene had a strong love affair with cars. He owned his own wrecking yard and body shop. He loved to spend time building racecars for his wife to race at our local race tracks in the 1970s and again in the early 90s. He worked as a member of the grounds crew for the Utah State Fair Park for 10+yrs and retired in 1990. He then was forced to deal with health issues and later returned to work as a security officer for CBI Security until he fully retired in 2004. Kathy passed away in 1998. Gene married Carlene Price in 2014. He loved his entire family and leaves behind Father (Art), Wife (Carlene), 3 of his children, 5 sisters (Doris, Linda, Grayce/Eric, Donna Jean/Dave and Ramona), 2 brothers (John, Bob), 5 step children, 38 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his Mother Donna, Sister Judy, Soul mate Kathy, oldest Daughter Tawna and Brother-in- Law George Romero. There will be a Life Celebration for Gene on: Wednesday May 25th at 10:00am at the LDS church located at 4605 south Westpoint Drive West Valley City, Utah.
