Don Russell Judd
Don Russell Judd passed away on November 23, 2011 after a courageous battle. He was surrounded by his wife and daughters, who lovingly cared for him. Don was born March 7, 1935 in Grantsville, Utah to Hy and Fern Judd. He married Shanna Bybee September 2, 1955. They were the proud parents of four daughters. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joys. Don’s happiest childhood years were spent in Grantsville with his Grandma and Grandpa Judd. He graduated from Grantsville High School in 1953 where he formed lifelong friends, known affectionately as the “Terrible Seven!” He served two years in the Navy following high school. He was a hard worker until he retired in 1992.
Some of Don’s most memorable times were spent hunting and fishing with his buddies. He loved watching Grantsville High football games and could often be seen on the sidelines with his “media” credentials!
Don is survived by his wife, four daughters, Terri Laws (Kelly), Traci Wilkins (Greg), Tamara England (Dave), Trudi Hunt, and brother, Terry Judd. He has 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Don had a special relationship with the “son he never had” – Don Hunt. Don was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
