Dennis Lloyd Muir, born Dec. 9, 1950, passed away on Nov. 8, 2011 from a courageous battle with brain cancer. Dennis was born in Richfield, Utah to Ernest Albert Muir and Theo Elmira Ross. Dennis married Loretta Ann Muir Dec. 17, 1971 and was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on Dec. 17, 1978. Dennis and Ann are the parents of eight children and grandparents to twelve grandchildren. Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1976, one year stationed in Vietnam as a helicopter door gunner. He retired from the Tooele Army Depot after 25 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints spending many years serving with the Boy Scouts.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Ann, his children Chuck (Sara) Muir, Truley (Dustin) Blodgett, Amey (Jarrod) Howell, Mathew (Samantha) Muir, Kevin (Shawna) Muir, Bradley (Jennifer) Muir, Luis Alvarez (Jayci), Shannon Muir, brother David (Twyla) Muir, Mother-in-law Loretta Jensen; Grandchildren Mindy, Jacquie, and Trent Memmott; Alivia, Konner, Garret, and Zakkry Howell; Alex, Damien, Dakota, and Aliyah Muir; Zoe Jane Randolph. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law Richard
Jensen, and brother Dwayne Muir.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12th at 12:00 pm at the Grantsville 7th Ward, 415 W Apple St. A viewing will be held on Friday evening, Nov 11th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the same location. There will also be a viewing one hour prior to services on Saturday.
