Cameron Porter Durrant

December 30, 1992 — December 29, 2024

Vernon

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Cameron Porter Durrant, who left this world unexpectedly on December 29, 2024, at the age of 31. Cameron was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose life was defined by his love for learning, reading, traveling, and connecting with others.

Born on December 30, 1992, to Lisa Collett Mounteer Durrant and William George Durrant, Cameron was the light of his family’s life. He lived surrounded by the love of his parents and his siblings, Roxy, Jessica, and Tori, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews. He loved his best friend and companion, Freyja (his cat).

Cameron was a thoughtful and compassionate soul who always made others feel seen and valued. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor were constants in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him. Cameron had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around him feel special, and his presence left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. He lit up every room he entered with his infectious smile and energy.

A gifted writer, Cameron earned his writing certificate from Salt Lake Community College. He loved learning about engineering, coding, and technical writing. Like his dad, he loved to restore cars and trucks, go hunting and shooting, build guns, and be in the peaceful, great outdoors. He enjoyed playing drums and golfing, smoking the occasional cigar, and sipping whiskey.

Cameron’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his grandmother, Colleen Mounteer; parents, Lisa and William; his siblings, Roxy Durrant (Heather), Jessica Luth (AJ), and Tori Durrant (Fred); his nieces and nephews, Derek, Jade, Carson, Makayla, Brookelyn, Logan, Roper, McKoy, Adaline, and Hudson; as well as many friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Robert and Mary Durrant, and Kenneth Mounteer.

A celebration of Cameron’s life will be held at The Sandoval Home, 585 N Main St. Vernon, Utah 84080 on Sunday, January 5th. Open house from 1pm-5pm.

Cameron’s light may have left this world too soon, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who loved him, and his memory will live on forever in the adventures he shared and the love he gave.
