Arla June Johnson Fidler 1927 ~ 2010 Arla June Johnson Fidler, 83, passed away peacefully on Nov. 4, 2010 of causes incident to age. She was born in Sandy, Utah on March 15, 1927 to Art and Eva Johnson. She was raised in a loving family and was one of six siblings. She was a member of the LDS church. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1945. Arla worked as a bookkeeper, waitress and cook. She was an excellent homemaker and excelled in sewing, baking and handicrafts. Arla married Wilton G. Fidler Dec. 24, 1953 and together raised three children, Jerry, Kent, and Janice, in Grantsville , Utah. She worked 22 years at the Tooele Army Depot as a property clerk. She was well known for her homemade fruitcakes and pies. Arla worked as a cook for Teddy Bears, Skyline Restaurant and A&W in Grantsville. She was always helping friends and neighbors in their time of need, often showing up with a loaf of bread or a pie. Arla made many friends as she became their landlord in renting out her duplexes. Arla is survived by her children, Jerry (Doris), Kent (Suzanne), and Janice (Steve) Whitehouse, sister, Myrna Baxter of Mesa, AZ, grandchildren, Ryan (Jamie), Kendall Chad and Heather Fidler and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilton Fidler, brother R.Z. Johnson, and daughter-in-law, Vickie Fidler. A special thank you to the Rocky Mountain Care staff. Arla was a tireless worker and loved by all. Funeral services will be held at the Clark 2nd Ward chapel, 81 N. Church St, Grantsville, Utah at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8th. Friends may visit before services from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Interment at the Sandy City Cemetery. Funeral services entrusted with Didericksen Memorial funeral home.
