Adam James Thayne, 29, a loving father, son, and brother lost a battle most don’t understand on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Adam was born on October 11, 1992 to George Dennis Thayne and Susan Cloe Barnhurst in Roosevelt, Utah. Susan later shifted her motherly wings to Gina Marie Thayne, when Adam was 7 years old.
Adam is survived by the love of his life, Heather Hutcheon, and their boys Dylan and Sylas; his parents, Dennis and Gina; his siblings, Adrian, Amber (Brandon), Markie (Jesse), Dori (Dylan), Teesha, Jerrail (Sonia), and Max; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Dillon Taylor; his grandmother, Gussie Thayne; American Professional Basketball player, Kobe Bryant; and his aunts Marty and Pam.
The love and kindness Adam has always put out into this family and community will never be forgotten. A laugh and smile that would infect an entire room has been taken too soon. He could make anybody laugh, even when they weren’t having the best day.
He was a spiritual man, who enjoyed having biblical debates and spreading his knowledge of the Bible with anybody willing to listen. He was proud of his faith.
Even though his death came at an early age, Adam died a noble man- donating his kidneys and liver to people still fighting.
Special thanks to Jordan Valley Medical Center West Valley ICU staff (especially Jeannie, who took care of Adam and his family with extra love and care) for caring for him in his time of need.
A viewing will be held at Didericksen Memorial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, followed by a graveside service at Taylorsville City Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his brother.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to his burial fund or an addiction foundation of your choice.
