Ada Lake
04/12/1938 - 10/26/2019 Age 81
Ada LaReen Simons Lake, 81, surrounded by her family passed away in her Grantsville home the evening of October 26th, 2019.
Ada was born April 12th, 1938, at her home in Mount Pleasant Utah, to Alden Levi and Fontella Simons. She was born in the middle of 11 siblings.
On March 18th, 1958, Ada married her very best friend Oneil Lake, they were later sealed for all eternity in the LDS temple. Neil and Ada were married for 62 years. Throughout their time they were was blessed with 8 beautiful daughters, 27 grandchildren, and 52 great grandchildren.
Ada was the most loving mother and grandmother; she dedicated her life to loving and supporting her kids.
Ada was a wonderful cook. She always made sure she had a good dinner on the table, and spent many years in restaurants sharing her talents with the public.
Ada also took pride in her beautiful yard. Right up to the days before her passing Ada spent most of her time either working in the yard, or enjoying the view from her swing.
Ada is survived by her daughters Cindy Langford-Hunter, Leann Jorgensen (Larry), Kathleen Hunt (Arnie), Shonna Wilcox (Rory), Vickie Lake, Rebecca Lake, Jenny Mecham (Chad), her grandchildren/great grandchildren, and her siblings Boyce (Toad), Gayle, and Shanna.
Ada was preceded in death by her husband Oneil, her daughter Shanna, Her great grandsons Larry, Kaden, and Carson, her son in law Steven, and her mother, father, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Services will be held Saturday November 9th, 2019 at 11:00a.m. in the Grantsville West Stake Center. (115 E. Cherry St. Grantsville Ut, 84029) With a graveside at the Grantsville cemetery to follow.
